Since then, Toshiba has been developing and providing different products such as electric adding machines, produced lighting equipment. launched the world’s first “Magic Bag” vacuum cleaner and continued in different product lines until in June 1979 they exported Point of Sale solutions.
(POS) to the U.S and in November of the same year Toshiba released the first checkout POS system with scale function (bulk system) in Japan. Later on, in 1988 Toshiba developed wireless POS systems for department stores and continued to develop the POS systems to what they are today.
